Happy New Year Campers-
The first POTW is a shot (thanks Robie!) of your friendly neighborhood webmaster...busy getting pictures for web pages.
At this time of year one pauses to look back...I've been doing this web site since July of 2003 (the hit counter was installed in November). There is now over 75 unique web pages on the Bear River site...with hundreds of pictures....a countdown timer on the Calendar page...weather data from Bear River via satelite.....and, of course, the Campfire Chat; perhaps my best idea after the "I think I'll build a web site" notion.
I've had fun but, the best thing is that you...my friends and loyal visitors....continue to find that this site is worthy of your time and bandwidth. For that I thank you....it makes all of the work (around four hours per web page) worth it.
PS: check out the new menu that I built for the Bygone Bear Pictures Menu Page. I'll be pulling old June pages out of my off-line archives and putting them up (now that I have menu space) in the future.

Bear dates already in pen on the calendar. The plan is not to twist, bend, tweak or break anything this year before bear. We will be putting in the request for days off asap. Thank you to everyone in on the date getting!!!Love Beth and Karen!!
